Impact

Tara and Madeleine at Change by Degrees facilitated a workshop for DRCD at the national Local Community Development Committees (LCDCs) networking event in November 2019. The workshop was interesting and engaging and provided practical information for participants on what they could do to contribute to addressing the issue of Climate Change in their lives and their communities. Feedback from the event was very positive and we wouldn’t hesitate to have them facilitate similar workshops in the future.

It is a really positive process developing and implementing our Plastic Free Strategy with Madeline and Tara’s input. Their knowledge and eagerness to increase everyone’s awareness to avoid single use plastic is inspiring and working with Change by Degrees is an engaging and educative process which really encourages us to share our commitment to sustainability with our team and clients here.

In NTMA we are on a journey to become a best in class public sector employer that invests in its staff and in long term sustainability. We are partnering with Change by Degrees as part of this process to develop a Green Strategy for the business and to engage and educate our staff. Both Madeline and Tara did a fantastic presentation on Sustainability at The Panel offices recently. Their business, Change by Degrees, is a brilliant concept. Their presentation was very informative and engaging with a mix of slides, short videos, gamification and Q&A. My eyes were opened on a number of subjects, what goes into the green bin, how misleading some labeling is on packaging, positive changes we can all make and hope! The Change by Degrees presentation was one of the most popular team events we had. Madeline and Tara’s skillful engagement made it fun instead of “preachy” and I would highly recommend other businesses to engage them to present to their teams. It will be time very well spent!

At Cork Chamber we have worked closely with Change by Degrees to bring independent and informed insight to our sustainability programme at Board level, with the team and among members.
